Park Street Hotel
Park street hotel, this boutique hotel occupies a 250-year-old colonial bungalow and an adjoining warehouse spread over two acres. The bungalow was once the home of Sheik SalehbhoyMoosajee, whose family have been prominent business and social personalities on the island since the 19th century. The original bungalow consists of a main lounge area and the luxurious Begam and Saleh suites.
Rooms are furnished with king-size four-poster beds with luxurious bedding including 400 thread counts Egyptian cotton linen and a pillow menu. The Superior Suites have attached sitting rooms. The Executive Suites are slightly smaller but still have comfortable sitting areas. The smaller Junior Suites have the advantage of a large roof terrace offering plenty of sun-lounging. Other in-room facilities include LCD screen TV's on the walls with in-built DVD players, a Bose iPod station (iPod on request), wireless internet access throughout the property, IDD phone facilities, a personal safe, mini-bar and coffee/tea-making facilities.
Ornate chandeliers, Dutch-period furniture and magnificent antiques provide plenty of interest while as a personal touch; Begum Zarina’s portraits and paintings liberally adorn the crisp white walls.
