Lavender House

Built in circa 1890's The Lavender House, Hellboda Estate is a former tea planter's residence nestled in the historic tea fields of Pussellawa in Ceylon. Its comfortable surroundings are combined with beautifully tended gardens to create idyllic settings. Whilst open log fires blaze in the hearths in winter and fresh flowers adorn the mantel pieces in summer, the Lavender House is perfectly situated to explore the picturesque tea fields of Ceylon.

There are five luxurious en suite bedrooms each with a working fire place. The infinity swimming pool merges with miles of tea covered hills and the mountain peaks beyond. Enjoy private courtyard gardens and modern en-suite bathrooms. A light and airy Conservatory overlooking the grassy lawn is where the delicious, enjoying hearty cuisine from the burgundy hued formal Dining Room, and the attached wine cellar is perhaps one of the best in the Hill Country.

The locus of the deep blue infinity pool is the ideal place to unwind by day whilst gazing out over the pea green tea bushes to the misty mountains beyond. Spacious, flower filled gardens make it a good choice for families with children while its seclusion makes it an equally ideal destination for romancing couples.
